I stain fences for a living in Oklahoma City. I started this site because I kept recommending the same few products to friends and neighbors, and I wanted a place to write down why — and where those recommendations stop working.

Every stain on this site I've used on a real job, usually more than once. Where I'm comparing products I haven't personally applied, I say so.
